Last Minute Decisions for Holiday Week

Last Minute Decisions for Holiday Week
As the holidays approach, we’re all plagued with questions…”Did I get that gift? Did I get all ingredients for the turkey? Do I have enough wrapping paper?”
We can’t help you answer all these, but we can pitch in on a few.

What Do I Wear?

Gatherings are back this year (as long as you’re safe and smart!) and so is the age-old dilemma—what do I wear!? Maybe you’ve been home a little too long and aren’t sure what to take out in public or you want to stay comfortable. Either way, around this time of year you can’t go wrong with RED.
Weather it’s an “ugly” but cute holiday sweater or a sleek cocktail dress, red will help you fit in no matter the gathering.
And if you’re slipping into those red heeels or dress shoes, don’t forget your most important accessory…an Orange Light Insole to keep your feet safe and supported all night!

How Do I Keep My Dish to Pass Healthy?

You want your dish to make a good Impression (but also be a little healthy, right). We’ve got some ideas that include one of our favorite flavors…and colors! (Can you spot the theme?)
Chocolate Covered Orange Slices: Can you say, “yum?” This desert will wow, is a little slice heaven and is healthy alternative to those cookies. You can’t decorate them but trust us, no one will care.
Grilled Chicken With Orange Glaze: Replace the battered orange chicken with this grilled and delectable alternative (that has a slight kick!)
Citrus Quinoa Salad: This grainy alternative to white rice is much more nutritious and has less carbs. Nobody will know this is a healthy recipe.

Which Cocktails Should I Prepare?

Cocktails are a big deal around the holiday and we’ve got some recipes that will keep your guests happy and festive!
Peppermint Martini:
You can’t beat a drink with candy canes!
  • White Godiva  1.5oz
  • Peppermint Scnapps (or Smirnoff Peppermint vodka)1 oz
  • Shake in Ice
  • Strain into a holiday glass- martini glass preferred
  • Add candy cane for garnish, or crumble for a glass rimmer
Cranberry Old Fashioned:
A spin on an old tradition!
  • 3 oz of Bulleit Bourbon
  • 1 oz Cranberry Simple Syrup
  • 3 shakes Angostura Bitters
  • Garnish with Orange Peel and optional Ocean Spray Fresh Cranberries and rosemary
Poinsettia Martini / Cap Cod:
If you wear red, this one will match your outfit!

Or, you can’t beat simple! Just throw 2 ounces of Bailey’s over ice!
